| 0:00.0 | Well, hey everyone, it's Nate here with episode 285 of The Vinyl Guide. Today on the show, |
| 0:05.8 | we have Catherine Meyer, an author, journalist, and co-founder of the UK Women's Equality Party, |
| 0:11.5 | and was also married to the late Andy Gill of Gang of Four. Now, you may already know that |
| 0:17.4 | Andy was a friend of the show, appearing on episode 155 in early 2019, |
| 0:22.5 | to discuss his then-upcoming tour of Australia and delve, of course, into many of the |
| 0:27.7 | vinyl record history and stories and things that we cover here on the show. If you haven't |
| 0:32.1 | already, I recommend you check out this interview. Andy was so brilliant, and his music |

| 0:56.0 | a few dates in mainland China before heading back to the UK, at which time many members of the |
| 1:01.5 | touring party, including Andy, became ill with a mysterious respiratory infection which Andy never |
| 1:08.4 | recovered from. Now, this is in late December 2019, January 2020, |
| 1:14.0 | and unfortunately, Andy passed from this illness on February 1st. The evidence now suggests that |
| 1:20.0 | Andy may have been amongst the first people to succumb to COVID-19, which would challenge |

| 1:48.4 | But today, Catherine also talks about the illness, the passing. |
| 1:51.3 | She shares some stories about Andy and some of the fun tales of the musicians that he worked with and so much more. |
