Eerie Von grew up in Lodi New Jersey aka "Ground Zero" of Horror Punk. As a friend and contemporary of Misfits, he witnessed the early activity of the band and eventually joined as a full member of Samhain and Danzig. Today Eerie shares his memories of those early years, the Misfits shows, vinyl records, Fiend Club collectibles, the breakup of Misfits, formation of Samhain & more. This is part 1 of 2.

hung around with, and even played with misfits in the late 70s and early 80s, at which point

he remained close friends with Glenn Danzig, joined Sam Hain, stayed through all of their albums,

and deep into about half a dozen Danzig albums as well. Erie has had an

amazing front row seat to American punk rock history and was present at and likely the midwife

for the birth of horror punk. And today, Erie is an incredibly open book, sharing stories and
