Hey, everyone, it's Nate with a special edition of The Vinyl Guide. Today is November 15th,

0:06.0

2015. It's approximately 24 hours since the terrorist events in Paris, France left. I think the

0:14.6

death toll now is about 130, and unfortunately, a huge percentage of them were music fans that were caught up in the in the

0:23.9

Bada Klan event center watching a band Eagles of Death Metal this is a band that if this

0:32.1

activity happened in Sydney I'm sure I would have known a dozen or more people who would have been

0:37.1

in that event center,

0:38.9

possibly even myself, people who just went out to have a good time, drink a few beers,

0:45.0

see a great band live, and unfortunately, a lot of them, almost 100, I believe, at this point,

I mean, there's mass shootings and there's suicide bombers and, you know, the number of 15 to 20 killed is unfortunately not uncommon.

1:50.8

And then when the news started coming in about the Bataclan concert venue and the band

1:57.2

Eagles of Death Medal that the gunmen had gone in and just started shooting people indiscriminately,

2:02.6

it really, really hit home because those are my people, that is my brethren,

2:08.5

people who go to shows and enjoy music, those people are like me.

2:14.3

And as I said, had that been Sydney, I'm sure that place would have been full of people

2:20.3

that I know and love, and possibly myself as well. So my heart really goes out to anyone who was
