Well, hey everyone, it's Nate here, and this is episode six of The Vinyl Guide,

0:04.9

which was originally an episode titled Why I Can't Stand Roger Waters,

0:10.6

which was a 20 minute or so rant about the life and career of Roger Waters of Pink Floyd,

0:17.1

focusing on his foibles and just overall me venting and disrespecting his career.

0:22.9

Now as an episode I originally released on November 8th of 2015, I was five episodes into the podcast,

0:30.7

perhaps feeling the pressure of how to come up with material, and I chose to make an episode

0:36.8

on my feelings towards Roger Waters.

0:40.3

Now, no surprise here, it was very negative and now several years and a few hundred episodes later,

0:47.3

I like to think that I've matured and grown beyond the frustrated person who used my platform to rant and disrespect an artist.

0:56.7

And I simply found myself over the years really just regretting this moment, that episode.

1:04.0

1:09.3

And so now, several years later, I've got more

1:12.4

experience in podcasting, I've met and interacted with literally thousands of listeners over that

1:18.0

time. And I really just find myself not needing or even actually wanting to use the vinyl

1:24.0

guide as a vehicle for negativity. I'm a positive person. I want to be in a positive

1:30.1

environment and I especially want to be supportive of artists and music lovers. So I've made the

1:36.3

decision to remove this episode on Roger Waters as it no longer represents the person that I am

1:42.6

or the show that the vinyl guide has become.

1:45.5

And I have no doubt that the original version of this episode with the Roger Waters rant

1:50.5

will pop up online somewhere. Some listener will pull it from their phone cache and post it

1:56.2

somewhere and it really won't go away. But that's fine. There are my words.

2:01.7

I have to own them.
