Welcome to Thinner Piece and Menopause and Beyond. This is Dr. Deb Butler, Master Life and Weight Coach,

0:10.4

and as always, your coach. Today is episode number 93, and I am so excited. It's the new year,

0:20.0

and I want to help you get unstuck. And the reason I'm so

0:25.2

excited is because I've got new material that's really quite old. Stay tuned.

0:45.2

Hello, all my dear friends. How are you today? I'm going to repeat myself. I'm like a broken record. It's a beautiful day here in Belize. That's what I say every single time.

0:53.6

Every day is beautiful. I have been seriously thinking of how I want to

1:02.4

explain some very old theories and philosophy that feel brand new and I think can really help you with urges and overeating. And I'm so excited

1:15.8

because the author that I just love Pemashodran, I talk to you a lot about her over these

1:23.5

podcasts, but she's a Buddhist nun. So she's very strong in the Buddhist philosophy. And of course,

trying to do is to be more present and to be more mindful in our everyday lives, then I think

1:56.7

that this is a wonderful tool for you to be able to use. And every single time, this is what's so

2:04.0

fascinating to me is every time I read a book by her, I get so excited. And I get so excited,

2:10.0

I want to teach it to you. And then when I go to teach it to you, I don't know where to start.

2:16.7

So today is the day where I just start. And really what I'm

2:21.7

talking about has a lot to do with what I want to teach you, which it's so uncomfortable,

2:26.6

even for me to try and teach new material. It's uncomfortable because I've never taught it

2:33.2

before. So it's very easy just to say

2:37.0

forget it. Just like it's very easy when it gets very uncomfortable for you when you want to

2:44.8

eat something that you really don't want to be eating, a lot of times you'll just say, forget it and eat it as opposed to
