Hey, folks, welcome to the adventure sports podcast. I'm your host, Mason. Today we're talking to Melanie Curtis, who took 80 women from 22 countries to make skydiving history by doing the largest all women head down vertical skydive.

In vertical, being vertical upside down is a very difficult thing to do as a skydiver, and they did it to celebrate the 100-year anniversary

of the 19th Amendment, by the way. And the 19th Amendment was the amendment in the U.S.

Constitution that gave women the right to vote. And so they called the project Project 19.

And so they aimed for a record of 100 to celebrate the 100 years. And by the way,

got 80.

The previous record was 65. So pretty cool. We're just going to hear from Melanie where this

idea came from, how she got it together. Because, you know, jumping a bunch of times is one thing.

Getting and coordinating 22 people from 22 countries is another. And getting them to do something

like this is just, I can't even

imagine how difficult it was to pull this off. But Melanie herself has completed over 12,000 jumps

and is a sought-after speaker and consultant, host her own podcast, Trust the Journey with
