Hey, folks, welcome to the adventure sports podcast. I'm your host, Mason. Today is a throwback to 2017 when we had Uriel Aison and Maggie Burke on the show, who, by the way, for this trip, made their own backpacking bags, made their own tent to do this amazing trip to the Andes.

And there were a lot of unknowns.

They didn't know how to speak Spanish very well.

There was, they hadn't done a ton of high altitude adventures or activities at all.

And of course, the terrain is just absolutely brutally rugged at times.

So it was obviously a huge challenge for them at times. Just, just

crazy, crazy idea. But the amazing and wonderful, gracious people they met along the way, as well as

the grandeur of the Andes made this a heck of a trip of a lifetime. So I know we've had a ton of

bike packing and bike touring on lately.

That's just kind of, you know, how it's been going.

I haven't necessarily been doing more of that lately, which a lot of people think maybe the show

reflects what I'm actually into at the time, but it's just aligned.

And these are just great adventures.

So this one goes back to 2017.
