I am currently sitting across the table

from the woman who Forbes magazine deemed

the second most powerful woman in the world

twice not just once

but twice I am with Sheila bear

and if you don't recognize her by name then you will remember what she did for sure.

Sheila was the FDIC chair, chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

from 2006 to 2011, which means she's the one who steered the agency through the worst

financial crisis since the Great Depression.

She was responsible for the safekeeping of $6 trillion

in American savings.

Her leadership earned her the JFK Library's Profiles Encourage Award,

her two-time title as the second most powerful woman in the world,

and nicknames like the new sheriff of Wall Street. I hope they gave you a gold star to go along with

that one. She currently serves on a number of corporate and FinTech boards while continuing her advocacy for common

sense policies to promote financial system stability and responsible lending practices and she's just a delight to talk to and I'm happy

that you're here.
