Yesterday I was out at Fronings Place, so I went out there to do his meat eater podcast.

And it was kind of interesting because one, I'd never met him, which is crazy because

like at the time we were kind of involved with CrossFit, I'd never met him which is crazy because like at the time

0:38.0

we were kind of involved with CrossFit I just never you know I just like our paths never crossed

and what's wild is he interned as an assistant strength coach at Tennessee Cookville and Chip

Pew who was the head coach followed CrossFit football and that was where we actually did our very first commercial one. And that was one where Glassman and all them showed up all in their own black mini, their own like black escalates. And then they showed up. Right. They came in. Glassman heard me bomb the initial talk and then laughed and they all walked out and then we'd never heard from them again.

So, but it was pretty interesting that he's like, oh yeah, no, I was really familiar with the program. We had done it a bunch and just like not only a very gracious host, but like a legit

1:21.8

cool cat. I was like, man, I'm sad that we haven't been friends all these years and Rory's working

1:26.8

for him now. You know, Rory's a CEO. CEO. I don't remember for Rory. Yep, yep. And Rory's a great dude. So it was a lot of fun to go out there, went to his place. He's got a podcast studio and his gym. And yeah, we trained a little bit. And yeah, I just got to cut it up. But it was, it was interesting talking with those guys. They're good for about a 45 minute to an hour podcast, which I was like, all day will I do those podcasts? And I was joking that I was on Dave Tate's table talk. I went out there to go do his table talk when I was going to go see Jared Allen's induction to the Hall of Fame. So I figure, you know, somewhere in the neighborhood of like an hour and a half,

hour and 45, you know, all of a sudden the spider scent starts tingling when it's like, okay, time to wrap this thing up. He blew past at it like four hours later. I was like, dude, if I'd known we were going to talk for four hours, I would have eaten breakfast. I'm like over here like gnawing on my hand, you know, like looking around for a protein bar.

2:20.0

But yeah, he, you know, like looking around for a protein bar.

2:20.3

But yeah, he, I mean, that was and the crazy part is the longer we talk, the more excited

2:24.3

he got.

2:25.3

And I'm like, this dude would like, well, I mean, this is crazy.

2:29.3

I, like, I hadn't done a four hour podcast, I mean, ever.

2:31.3

But to have somebody who was that excited to talk to me for four hours was a little disconcerning. That's kind of awesome. He must have had some sort of slow-acting cocaine or something, like it just started ramping up through the course of the show. Well, I mean, we've done so many of these. I can pretty much give you my life story and get everything done in 30 minutes and wrap it up with a nice bow. And the fact that it went as long as we did, I felt like I was either not giving him the information or he was just really excited to talk. And I was like, man, you're either really lonely or this is just what you do. Or you do good, good conversation, John. Sell yourself short. Well, it's because I'm a tremendous slouch. No, it was, it was good. And, you know, it's funny as I was going into Froding's deal. Like, I didn't even know, you know, necessarily I sat down. I'm like, what are going to talk about? And they actually had done a little bit of research and they hit me with stuff. And I'm like, dude, I've done so many

3:26.6

of these. Just like, just give me an easy layup. Give me a softball and I'll just crush it out. Dude, as, as you know, and you have done many, many times. It's the rare ones where you're like, hmm this is an interesting approach but you know most people want to talk to us about
