| 1:18.4 | when I was like seven years old. My dad was a power lifter. But I trained basically all through |
| 1:24.0 | fifth, sixth, seventh grade, middle school, all the way through high school. |

| 1:32.0 | I grew up in Alaska, of all places. |
| 1:35.6 | It was really hard to get a college football scholarship playing in Alaska. |
| 1:41.0 | So my dad moved me to Oklahoma, which was, whereas I was born in Oklahoma, moved, I was raised up. |
| 1:42.8 | But my dad moved me back down to Oklahoma so I could play high school football, so I'd have a chance at getting a scholarship to play college football. |
| 1:50.5 | Fortunately, that did pan out. I had a pretty successful high school football career. I got a scholarship to play at Rice University down in Houston, Texas. I had a couple other offers. I was not a big recruit by any means. |
