Hello and welcome to this episode of ESG Fitness Podcast. I'm doing a Q&A episode today with incredible questions from my clients.

0:11.5

But first I want to start with something that I've been... Oh, in pitch or?

0:18.4

Okay. Sorry. Confused. Okay, okay. Sorry, confused.

0:22.0

Okay, right.

0:22.7

Yeah, I want to start with something that I discussed on a walk with a couple of mates this

0:29.1

week, which is probably going to be most of the things I'm talking about in the foreseeable

0:33.6

future.

0:35.0

But anyway, it was, can more people do a pull-up or a marathon? And then this went on to,

0:41.6

like, based on that, what's more impressive, which I think is a slightly different thing, because I, so,

0:47.3

spoiler alert, more women can do a marathon than can do a pull-up. And you'd think, well, like,

0:53.3

you know, based on that, maybe it's more impressive to be able to do a pull-up. And you'd think, well, like, you know, based on that, maybe it's more

0:54.5

impressive to be able to do a pull-up. And maybe, but I don't know, there's something like very

1:00.2

mentally tough about being able to see a marathon or having done a marathon. Anyway, I thought

1:07.3

was interesting, but the kind of the discussion behind it is that running marathon is largely down to endurance and like kind of mental grit and not giving up and a bit of mindset behind it.

1:18.7

So I honestly think that with enough time, progression, consistency, a very, very high percentage of women could run a marathon, even if they're not naturally very

1:29.2

sporty or naturally very, like, physically gifted or view themselves in that way.

1:34.8

I would probably put my hat on, like, the average woman can train to run a marathon, 100%.

1:40.7

The limiting factors are usually things like time, injury management and like life logistics

1:46.9

to be able to train enough, not anything physically like stopping them. You know, like, I even think

1:53.0

that most, do I think this? I certainly think that if someone put like a gun to my head, I could run around

1:58.3

than today having done no training and I'm not

2:01.4

aerobically fit I think a lot of women could if they needed to I think the same is not true for a
