Jim was recommended to us by Rob Wolf for the work that he has done with ketogenic diets.

And it was an amazing story.

His son was diagnosed with severe epilepsy as a baby.

And they went through all the traditional medical deal.

And while they were at UCLA getting ready to do a lobotomy on his son, he decided this can't be the outcome.

And went to the UCLA medical library and started digging into epilepsy and how they treated it up

into this point and came across ketogenic diets. And so went back, said, you know, let's not do

the lobotomy as of yet. Let's try this ketogenic diet approach and ended up putting his

seizures into remission. So we had Jim on the podcast to hear this just heroic story,

and he had started the Charlie Foundation for ketogenic therapies in 1994. They raised money,

educated families on all these different neurological disorders in terms of using ketogenic diets

as a treatment for it. And as we had them on the podcast, hearing the story as a fairly new parent at the time

was pretty impactful to the point where anything that happened to my kids,
