AI Takeaways

Mindset and imperfect action are common struggles when it comes to fitness goals.

A reset week after a holiday can help clients get back on track and realign with their goals.

Creating a routine and using pattern interrupts can break old habits and promote consistency.

Focusing on process goals over outcome goals is important for long-term success.

Tracking streaks should not be overemphasized, as they can lead to an all-or-nothing mentality.

Finding balance is key to enjoying both a healthy lifestyle and occasional indulgences.

Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast. It has been a long week.

0:06.3

This week I have mostly been answering many, many, many questions in the group that we did for Cancer Research UK, which was a five days of coaching for five pounds. I mean, mostly people donated

0:23.7

10 pounds, which was amazing. We raised over 8,000 pounds for charity. Big shout out to Ruth,

0:30.1

because I think she heard on the podcast that we were about 35 pounds off 8,000 pounds, and then just donated that. So she's one of my

0:40.4

one-to-ones, which was very sweet. And anyway, it was a pretty awesome week, but has left me

0:45.4

somewhat tired. I say that, but I'm actually pretty exciting, exciting. If I say to say myself,

0:52.7

excited and it was going to be here and doing the podcast. So,

0:57.4

one thing I want to cover is just a bit of an observation. I spoke to a lot, a lot. By the way,

1:03.2

we had, I think, 15,000 people in that group. Wait, is that the right way? One thousand

1:09.9

people. Sorry, not 15,500 people, right?

1:14.4

It's still a lot of people, okay? We had a lot of people in that group and I spoke to a lot of

1:19.3

women about what they were really struggling with and the same themes come up every time and

1:24.2

unsurprisingly, it's mindset, right? It's, I get frustrated when I can't sit

1:29.4

to it perfectly and then I give up. I have an all-and-offing mentality, again, quite like a fixed

1:34.2

way of saying it usually, not like I struggle with this, it's more like I am this, right? It's just

1:38.7

who I am, I can't change it. You can and you will while working with me. Or I can be good for a while, but I can't maintain

1:47.7

it. I'm either really good or really bad. Like, this is the kind of the common stuff, right? This is

1:51.9

why I am so focused on hammering home in perfect action. It is the thing that most people struggle with the most, and it's the thing that is

2:03.4

holding most people back. Sometimes it manifests in slightly different ways, but it always at the

2:07.6

crux of it, it's like, it's imperfect action. And mastering that is the key to getting results.

2:14.4

Oh, and for those people who are asking, so I've had a lot of measures about this, the imperfect action

2:19.2

t-shirts, which have been modelling constantly, because it also takes away any decision
