| 0:00.0 | What's up you guys and welcome back to another episode of your favorite aunties pie cast. Me what's going on here. I'm excited. Y'all know every season we have a very special special special episode where y'all get to ask the aunties. And so this season season seven, we are ready to do our ass the aunties episode. I always love these because it's like, |
| 0:25.9 | y'all know we be talking about, y'all know we be talking about like, y'all trust us, y'all think we got all the answers. Cause we do. Don't. Cause we do not. Let me actually, I'm glad that you said that before we start this episode disclaimer, results may vary. Who? Results may vary. Take everything to the Lord. |
| 0:45.5 | Pray about it. |
| 0:46.2 | Hello, see if it's for you. |
| 0:48.8 | Amen. |
| 0:49.6 | Shoot him. results may vary. Whoo. Results may vary. Take everything to the Lord. Pray about it. Hello. See if it's for you. Um, amen. Shoot a meat spit out the bone. Hello. Huh? Hello. And also we are not your therapist. We're not certified. I ain't ain't certified. Shoot. And barely. Barely, barely. You barely said, well, where'd it go? Hello, we know a little something. So just keep that in mind. Keep that in mind. Alrighty. So we have a mixture of questions that were sent in anonymously and questions that were sent in by people who do not mind being anonymous. I'm going to go ahead and start with one that actually came to our email and |
| 1:28.0 | It's our follower our money so shout out to our money |
| 1:33.9 | She says as a recent college graduate and this is like paraphrasing because she sent us it was cute It was you know cute shout out to our money |
| 1:37.4 | So paraphrasing our body situation as a recent college graduate who's used to being busy and accomplished and now |
| 1:44.2 | Dealing with unemployment waiting on opportunities and trying to give myself grace, what does giving yourself grace really look like and how do you know if you're actually doing that? What are you looking at me? It's a great question because we do say give yourself grace give yourself, what does that mean? I've given grace. Yeah. What do you think? OK, you go first. I would say from the aspect of being someone who tends to be busy, it's probably a season that God has you in where he's teaching you how to rest. Not only rest your body, but rest in him because especially if you're like an accomplished person is very easy to focus on what you have accomplished. You know what I mean? You're not necessarily always thinking about what it is that God wants you to accomplish because you're a goal driven. like you're going after your goals. And she talks about in the email |
| 2:45.9 | that we are paraphrasing like all the things |
| 2:47.7 | that she accomplished when she was in school |
| 2:49.3 | and she was involved in this and she did this. And so I would say it's probably a season where God is teaching you to rest in him. And so it's gonna be a lot of trial and error where you're gonna find yourself wanting to do the work, but God is trying to teach you how to allow him to do the work. |
| 3:03.6 | So I've been through that season and I would say be be kind to yourself. I would say be kind to yourself because you're learning something new. It's a new season. It's something different and you're learning a different lifestyle. It's not just like a mindset or you know a little task that you can complete. It's a whole different lifestyle. So I would say be kind to yourself in the trial and error. If you make a mistake, get back up again, try again, and know that we are all in a season of learning something new. Okay, that's good. So when you say be kind, what does that look like? Give us an example of being kind to yourself. I would say just like speaking well, not getting down on yourself or making a mistake or for not knowing exactly how to do this. If it's your first time learning how to rest in guy, you're going to make a mistake, then don't be like, man, you know, and I start to create like a negative internal conversation with yourself. Be positive about about what it is you're learning and what it is you're doing in this new season. Okay, that's good. So for me, when I think about giving myself grace, being nice to myself, being kind to myself, I just remind myself that I'm doing the best I can with the information that's been presented to me. I only know to do better, once I know to do better. |
| 4:26.8 | You can only know as much as you know, |
| 4:29.2 | you only see as much as you see. So when you're going through different things and you feel like, oh, I wish I would have made another decision or I wish I would have done this, I wish I would have done that. For one, that time is over. You're not gonna get that time back. It simply is what it is in that regard. |
| 4:42.6 | And now that you have learned whatever lesson you need to learn, |
| 4:45.8 | govern yourself accordingly for the next time something like this comes up. |
| 4:49.8 | So. It simply is what it is in that regard. And now that you have learned whatever lesson you need to learn, |
| 4:45.5 | govern yourself accordingly for the next time something like this comes up. So where I think in another episode you and I talked and you were like, oh, I wish I would have been invested and done X, Y, and Z before. And I'm like, okay, well, you didn't because you felt like something else was more important and it took precedent. But now if that same thing comes up again, you're going to go after it and I also feel like you know things happened |
| 5:08.1 | Divinely maybe it really wasn't was more important to present. But now if that same thing comes up again, you're going to go after it. |
| 5:05.6 | And I also feel like, you know, things happen divinely. Maybe it really wasn't for you to do that in that time because what could have happened? Maybe it could have crashed or, you know, like, there could have been something that wasn't going to go right. So you did do what you needed to do though it with your eyes. It didn't seem like that. You know, there could have been something behind it. |
