Summary
This week we dive into the real and sometimes controversial conversations Christians wrestle with: cussing, drinking, secular music, and personal convictions. We talk openly about faith, culture, and the gray areas of Christianity that don’t always get discussed in church. Whether you’ve ever questioned where personal preference ends and biblical principle begins, this conversation is for you.

Well, happy guys and welcome back to another episode of your favorite aunties podcast. Look at me. Sorry. You can't talk. You even said it would be last time. I don't know what was that. I was doing. I don't know. Maybe I really did glitch in that moment. Very strange. I don't know what that was. Maybe I was doing a software update or something. Girl. I knew I always. Girl. Come here. Ow. OK. OK. Just took that in. What? You had one lock just right there. And I was hanging down. Yeah. You know, it's always one. Yeah. I want you to watch the episode back and be like, why you wait too? I always watch it back and it'll be like one sticking out |
| 1:06.5 | and one just wanted to stick up right here. Like can you just not? Then I had the last one, I had the two curls but one curl was just back here the whole time. Why would you do that? What would you do that for? I don't know. Why would you betray me? I mean godly I used to it. I always see something after like come on come on bro |
| 1:05.5 | I mean, we look good right to it. I always see something after like, come on, come on, bro. I mean, were you a good friend here? But I could only see, right? You're on your own with your right side. Y'all let me live, let me live. You know what? And that's another thing. You can only see so much of somebody. Especially when you're up close. Hello, I got today, you know, just because you, I can only see this part so I can only help you right here. Mm-hmm. I don't know what's going on on the other side I don't know if there's help over there. Mm-hmm. Good way of bad way. Come on. Huh? I can only do what I can do Praise God praise God. Well, we wanted to do part two and actually dive into the quote unquote gray areas. And because we kind of start talking about it, I'm like, nah, I want to reserve some time. I don't want to. Let's talk about these things. Let's have a real conversation. What we started talking about in the other episode that I was like, all on is you saying that you have colorful language? And my question to you was, do you feel like that's okay? I can't say that I feel like it's just okay, but my conviction in that area isn't very high. Because I guess because it's like, I really don't do it in In public like just out in the open. Mm-hmm. I really do it with just people that I'm close with You know Sometimes you gotta get your point across I Don't have any excuse for it. I'm not gonna sit up here and be like this is is right, this is, you know, you shouldn't feel convicted. This is me and my walk. Where God has me right now, that is not what he, that's not on the top priority list. It's as far as I think. How about to say, you made your own priority list? I'm talking about what, I feel in the grand scheme of what God is working at within me. |
| 3:25.7 | This part right here that only this many people are not this many people know. But only this many people are curious. Were you okay talking about that? I'm not sure. It just is what it is. That's another thing. Okay. My life is my life. As much as I thought I had a heaven and hell to put people in, I didn't. |
| 3:22.4 | There. |
| 3:23.6 | As much as somebody wants to say something, |
| 3:24.9 | you don't have a heaven of hell to put me in. |
| 3:27.0 | I'm... As much as I thought I had a heaven and hell to put people in I didn't There |
| 3:45.2 | As much as somebody wants to say something you don't have a heaven to help me in I'm God you're not gonna be right there with me pleading my case In judgment you're not going to be there now you can say something to me and wisdom and in love True wisdom and love but ultimately this between me and the Lord true. I can't say I'm gonna be like, other influencers in just like in videos that I put out just cuss, in episodes that I put out cuss, that's not me. Like it's just not, you know? Like it's me, but it's not me me. Me me me me me me. me, me. It's not, you know? Yeah. It's a piece. Because it was a point in my life where I didn't cut it at all. But I was being performative. I was like, this is a good Christian shouldn't curse. And it just is where you are now a step back. Like, have you ever been a big cusser? No. I mean, I'm still a lady. I'm still a lady like, you know, I would, I use all the words. Would you? Ah! You know, I do, but like, I'm not, I'm not cussing in every other sentence. You know what I'm saying? Mm-hmm. I'm not obscene with it. Like I just, just come out. Just add a little sum, sum, sum. Sometimes the jokes be a little bit funny when you just, mm-hmm. You know what I mean? It just appears, but again, it's not something that I just do outwardly and it's not something that I want to glorify. I'm just simply telling my truth, that's it. Yeah, that's it. I knew I was never like a big, I didn't grow up around a lot of it on either side of my family. Yeah. They weren't like real big because I know some people, their family, that's how they talk. Yeah. Like it is just a part of their language. |
| 5:47.2 | So I had an aversion to it just because I didn't grow up around a lot of it. So when I would hear it, it would always kind of like, I don't want to say start on me, but you know what I mean? Cause like I'm just not, I wasn't used to that both sides of my family, um, both my I'm a mom and dad size, very calm, very conservative. |
| 5:45.5 | I mean, you got some, but overall, I don't have a big, loud, boy stress family that I don't have that. So for a while, people would laugh at me because I would hear a lot of profanity and be like, oh, okay. Because it just was like, oh, I'm not used to people talking like this. But it's taking me growing up not to say that it is okay, but realizing like I say |
| 6:26.4 | everybody has different stories, different things. Some people don't even, they don't even know they do. I just start to them. Like it's just part of their language. You know, so I have my moments, I've never, I'm not a, I don't get like real super, super angry. so I'm not like one of those, but something funny or just like a little, |
| 6:24.1 | I don't do no big. I'm not the, I'm not the, |
| 6:26.8 | Yo, you're all the word. like real super super angry. So I'm not like one of those, but something funny or just like a little |
| 6:46.1 | I don't do no big. I'm not the I don't do all the work together. You know, do it real good and put it me out. I'm listening. It is the every once in a while just a little funny or just something like that. But I wouldn't say that I can donate or at all. And most people in my life probably would say they probably haven't heard me do that. |
| 6:42.1 | Yeah. |
| 6:43.1 | I mean, when you do, since you, |
| 6:45.0 | so only since you said when you do. I wouldn't say that I could donate at all. And most people in my life probably would say they probably even haven't heard me do that. |
| 7:05.7 | Yeah. |
| 7:06.7 | I mean, when you do, since you, |
| 7:08.5 | so only since you said, when you do, |
| 7:12.1 | it's fun. |
