Welcome back to Infants on Thrones. I'm Glenn Ostland and this is episode 690. Religion, schmreligion. the best worst thing to ever happen never, which is what I'm calling

this episode because it tickles me.

You know how some people think that religion is just a net negative that is totally bad or at least mostly bad and that the world would be a much better place without it?

Maybe you're one of them. And you know how other people think that religion

is a net positive? That it's totally good, or at least mostly good, and the world is a better

place for having it than if it didn't.

I put myself in that camp, since religion is essentially a set of traditional man-made

beliefs, symbols, stories, customs, explanations about the nature of reality

and the purpose or meaning of life,

and codes of cooperative behavior

that people hold to be so important to the point

that they call it sacred sacred and since it's impossible

for me to imagine a world where such a thing does not exist.

I know religion too.
