Hi, Tish. Hey, tell us who you are and what you do.

I'm a mom and stylist living in the Midwest, and I write about my life over at designfor mankind.com.

And I'm a writer and mom living in central Texas, and you can find me online at the art of simple.net.

This is a home episode, so in this one, we're going to talk about how to add more

adventure into your life at home wherever you are. And we're going to talk about how we infuse our

most memorable destinations into our two very different family styles. And I'm really excited about

this, not only because my book is about travel that's coming out soon, but it's equally about

home. And I know you and I are such homebodies, and yet you and I both love to travel. Do you

ever feel that tension sometimes, Aaron? All the time. I cannot wait to read your book. That's why.

Well, you know, I'm finding that it's, this is pretty common with a lot of us. Like, we both

have an equal amount of wanderlust

and home bodiness and sometimes it feels like they could fight each other but really I think they're

kind of two sides to the same coin you know what I mean like a sense of just wanting to feel

comfortable in our surroundings and inspired and all that good stuff but just in different ways I. I don't know. That's just me. I do. I know what you mean. And who doesn't get a little itchy and they're in the same surroundings? You know, I think we crave comfort, but comfort looks so different on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes some people for adventure might be like just changing out some of their decor or trying new foods or something like that.

And to me, there's total merit to that. And so I love, you know, I'm in book promo season or

launch season, which is so fun to be able to talk travel. But sometimes I also just want to talk

about home and why home is so great. And what we can do at home to make our families feel sort of like their

eyes are opened and enlightened and thinking about the outside world yet not having to go

anywhere because most of my friends and most people I know don't really travel a lot for obvious
