Yesterday on The Art of Simple, the blog I spearhead and run, I dropped a fun announcement

because this book literally wouldn't happen without you.

I want to share your thoughts.

I mean, yes, this is a book I wrote about my year around the world with my family and what

I learned about home, the world,

belonging, and how the tension of all that works as a beautiful paradox, really. But really,

it's a story about all of us. Well, at least those of us who are both homebodies and who are

filled with wanderlust, who want to discover all the beautiful hidden places of the world.

And from my experience in talking

with you guys, this describes a whole heck of a lot of us. We both love the idea of traveling and

we love staying at home with a cup of tea in our favorite book. At Home is a book about belonging

and what it means to stay put, even when it means home is boring.

It's about risk and showing our kids the world, even if it means being uncomfortable.

And it's about leaning into how we're made, not apologizing for it, and loving all the big and small places hidden in the nooks and crannies of the earth.
