0:00.0 | The business wasn't really performing how we wanted to. We had team issues, cash flow problems, systems were starting to break down. Everyone felt like it was kind of, everything felt like it was kind of held together by duct tape at this point. Okay. And I remember sitting there thinking, man, I've worked so hard to get to this level. Okay, at that time, we were doing for 50 to 550K months, but now it felt as though like everything was falling apart, right? And one of our mentors stopped us kind of mid-complaint. He was like, yo, guys, listen. Something that nobody talks about when it comes to starting a business, and I know nobody really talked about this when I was getting started, and definitely the business coaches out there who are trying to sell you on like the easiest, fastest path aren't going to be honest about. But it's just the idea that when you hit new levels in your business, whether that's your first 10k month or maybe you have your first six figure year or maybe you're scaling past 50k a month or up to six figure months up to multiple seven figures, eight figures. Everything is going to feel harder than it did before. Shocker, right? Not, it's not going to be easier. It's |
0:54.2 | going to be harder, right? The bigger the levels, the bigger the devils. All right, most coaches think the leveling up, like reaching a next milestone is going to mean smooth sailing, right? It's like, hey, once I crack the code, it's kind of like downhill from there. And I honestly sort of thought that, but it's complete bullshit. Okay, I can tell you from experience and i can just tell you from uh working |
1:11.5 | with a lot of clients in this space being around a lot of businesses it doesn't get easier okay and if you're |
1:16.5 | and if you're sitting here right now feeling like your business is like more chaotic than ever more |
1:20.3 | stressful more overwhelming than maybe it was six months ago that's absolutely completely normal okay |
1:26.2 | and that honestly means that you're doing something right look by the end this episode, you're going to understand based on four key mechanisms that have helped me tremendously why the resistance that you're feeling in your business is not a sign that you're failing. It's actually that you're growing. Okay. And if you stick to the end of this episode, I can guarantee you're going to want to write these four things down, come back to these at every face that you feel like your business is just a cluster fuck, all right? So I'm going to give you the exact reframe in each of those four mechanisms that honestly changed everything for Aaron and I at different times that it felt like our business and world was actually falling apart. And listen, before we jump in, if this resonates with you, make sure you hit that subscribe button if you're watching on the YouTube. 2:04.6 | and fitness business that you actually want. All right. So look, a few months ago, |
2:08.8 | all right, let me paint the picture here. About two years ago, Aaron and I were on a call with our |
2:12.9 | mentors, okay, guys who've built and sold nine figure companies, okay, people that we were paying six figures a year to learn from. And we had our entire leadership team on this call, and everybody was honestly just kind of complaining. There was just like a lot of shit that was broken, right? The business wasn't really performing how we wanted to. We had team issues, cash flow problems, systems were starting to break down. Everyone felt like it was kind of, everything felt like it was kind of held together by duct tape at this point. Okay. And I remember sitting there thinking, man, I've worked so hard to get to this level. Okay, at that time, we were doing four 50 to 550K months, but now it felt as though like everything was falling apart, right? And one of our mentors stopped us kind of mid-complaint. He was like, yo, guys, listen. And he said something that really shifted my perspective. He's like, listen, if you feel like things are hard right now, good, that's a sign that you're moving in the right direction and pushing yourself, right? The worst thing in the world is to be in a situation where you don't feel challenged or where things feel too easy. I know for me personally, those have been the times of my life where I'm the most miserable. When things feel hard, it's a sign that you're moving towards new levels of growth. Then he was like, remember, we don't work on the business. The business works on us. And that's the thing that really landed for me. Okay. So let me share with you tactical takeaway number one. Okay, your business is basically |
3:25.8 | just like a muscle under load. Your business is no different than how your muscles respond to |
3:30.3 | hypertrophy, right, or stimulus under physical load, right? When you first started lifting, |
3:36.2 | you could barely move the bar, right? But now maybe you're, maybe you're benching 315 for reps or, |
3:41.6 | or whatever, right? Like, you're way stronger than you were when you first got started. |
3:45.5 | And every time that you went to go move up and await and progress, it felt harder than it |
3:49.9 | did before. It didn't feel easier, right? Your business operates the same way. So when you're |
3:53.4 | making 5K a month, your systems and your emotional capacity and your experience level |
4:00.1 | can handle 5K a month problems. But now, once you get to, let's say, 20K a month, you're dealing |
4:04.8 | with 20K a month problems. And where we're at in our business right now, we're dealing with |
4:08.6 | $700 to $900,000 a month problems that there's no fucking way I could have handled back when I was dealing |
4:15.4 | with 20K month problems. The complexity scales with the revenue, unfortunately, it's just kind of the way |
4:19.6 | that it is. All right. Number two, growth equals constraint identification. What I mean is most |
