Today we'll be telling the story of St. Wolfrich, whose feast is celebrated on February 20th.

Wolfrich was born in 1080 in Compton, Martin, England.

He became a priest at a young age, and perhaps wasn't quite

as mature as he should have been.

He spent his time hunting and didn't seem to be particularly

interested in the spiritual life.

But after a chance meeting with a poor man,

Wolfrich experienced a major conversion of heart

and became one of the most influential anchorite priests of medieval England. St. Wolfrich was an Ancorate, a holy

person that lives in a small room attached to the church for 29 years. During that time

he became well known as a miracle worker and people sought him out for spiritual advice and healings even the King of England.
