Hi, I'm Jean Chatsky. Welcome to her money. I was thinking as we scheduled this

interview and started into it that I had this weird experience with a

source of mind many years ago. It was a guy named Keith Gumbinger who runs a

company called H.S.H. which does mortgage rates.

And when I was reporting it Smart Money magazine and at Money magazine,

I would talk to Keith at least once a month, maybe twice a month and years later I met him and he said I feel like I'm meeting it an old friend for the first time.

And I've got Jill Schlesinger in the studio with me.

We've never met before, but I feel like I know you and we lead sort of parallel lives.

We've both got this journalistic gig-like existence.

I well first of all thank you very much and it is an honor I actually believe that I saw you at a

conference maybe a fidelity conference where you were sort of making a quick exit

and I was making an entrance or something like that but it was

Maybe a year and a half or two years ago and where was it? It was in DC DC. That's where where we like almost cross paths and I said to them oh I really want to meet

her and then you were gone oh it happens on the train, right?

Back and forth to D.C.

Anyway, for those of you who haven't met Jill, you should meet her.

She is an Emmy-nominated business analyst for CBS News.

She covers the markets, the economy, investing,

anything with a dollar sign on TV. She's also got a new podcast called Better Off. She's got a blog called Jill on Money and she is the

senior CFP board ambassador for the certified financial planner board of standards because you started as a planner.
