Welcome to Talking Scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're going to be doing

Alma 5 through 7 and this is basically two sermons where Alma is talking to two groups of people.

The first sermon is to the people in Zarahemla.

It's Alma 5, it's really big, it's loaded with questions.

The second sermon will be in Alma 7 and that will be to the people that live in a city called Gideon.

And so without further ado, let's just get started.

So Alma 5, he's talking to these people and it's, they're in a they're in a rough state aren't they Bryce? Yeah, it's really fascinating to compare the two sermons and the spiritual preparation of both cities

I encourage everyone to notice that notice what Alma says to Zara Hamla and notice what

state therein and then notice what Alma says to Gideon and what state there and at the very beginning

of Chapter 7 he'll kind of describe the difference between the two cities.

He doesn't say that to Zarahamla, but he does to Gideon.

He says, well, here's what's going on in Zarahamla and why I had to say what I had to say.

And so it's fascinating that our own spiritual preparation causes
