I actually didn't start drinking until the very end of high school or the beginning of college.

It was mostly because I went to boarding school.

My parents actually lived overseas in South America and Africa.

Because they were so far away, I was terrified of getting suspended or expelled from high school.

When everybody else was drinking and doing drugs and all the things, I was an incredibly good girl.

If I get kicked out of school, I literally have nowhere to go and my parents are going to kill me.

I just, I was straight-A student, did all the things communicated with my parents once a week on a

pay phone and saw them a couple times a year and went off to college and immediately was like,

how do I get out of my head?
