Hi guys, Welcome to Recovery Happy Hour, where we talk about life beyond the bottle,

and what happens after we get sober. I'm your

host Tricia. Thanks for joining me today. Today I'm talking about the

elusive pink cloud. The pink cloud is a term used for a sense of euphoria that you

get in early sobriety. You're starting to physically feel good, you feel the

benefits of not drinking alcohol every day, you're not

hung over every day, you're optimistic, and there's a general sense that life is

amazing. Not everybody gets to feel this and not everyone that does feel this gets

to feel it forever but it's a reality. I felt it for a little while in my first month and a

half and then around six weeks. I felt it for a little while in my first month and a half.

And then around six weeks, shit got real.

And I understood I was going to have to deal with my life sober.

And that's when that feeling, that pink cloud, wore off.

I hear a lot of people in early sobriety ask about the pink cloud.

When does the pink cloud come?

When do I get my pink cloud?

And then once it hits, it's, but cloud come, when do I get my pink cloud?

And then once it hits, it's,

but when will this feeling go away?

I don't want the pink cloud to wear off.
