What up Hair Game listeners. In this episode, Donovan and I go to Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California to interview Alfredo Lewis in front of the students.

Alfredo's been a friend of mine for quite a while and I was really excited to finally interview him.

I'm the founder and CEO of Salon Republic.

I've been the founder and CEO of Salon Republic for about 18 years.

And about a year ago, in our offices at Salon Republic, we started doing this podcast called The Hair Game.

And it was, I guess, the initial kernel of the idea was that I have conversations with guys like this and other people that, you know, a lot of hairdressers like.

And I just wanted to scale those conversations.

You know, I wanted to, when I have the conversation, I'm always thinking, God, that would be so amazing if I could tell so-and-so at this other salon that I know who would really like to know that.

She would really benefit from knowing that.

And so kind of through that thought process,

we figured that a podcast platform was the best way to do it. It's free for everybody and all that.

And it's turned out to be probably the funest thing that I do. You know, after 18 years of

building salons and all that kind of stuff, you can only derive so much enjoyment, you know.

But, you know, it's really in the networking process and developing relationships in the community

where I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction and it's new every time.

You know, we do an episode every week with somebody new.
