Summary

When it comes to inspired life design, it’s very easy to focus on the things we’re doing (or not doing!). This week, I’m inviting you to go deeper and consider instead the stories you might be telling yourself about whatever’s been going on. More often than not these stories are packed to the gills with judgment. Our well-meaning but unhelpful brains are doing their best, but needless to say, it may be time to get mindful of the power these stories hold over our lives.

In today’s fun-sized episode I’m giving you a helpful exercise to create space between your brain and the living stardust version of yourself. Three simple questions will help to tap into a deeper level of awareness where DF-STAG is sure to meet you!

Hey, everyone, it's Tiffany. Welcome back to the Tiffany Han Show. Today we are going to be talking about

0:40.4

something that seems like a really minor question, but can actually be a really, really powerful

0:47.8

thing to keep top of mind. And that is the stories that we tell. And what I want to talk about specifically with these

0:56.1

stories we tell, we could do a whole story series. I want to talk about the stories we tell

1:02.6

ourselves, probably also other people, about the things that are going on with our lives.

1:10.5

And I'm not even really talking about big things. I'm talking

1:14.6

about things like I didn't get my to-do list done today. I'm behind on a thing that I needed to

1:23.4

do. I'm tired today. I'm feeling low energy. I overslept. I stayed up late last night watching

1:31.7

Netflix. I synapt at somebody that I care about. I flittered around on the internet all

1:39.2

afternoon. I suspect you can relate. I don't think it's just me. I don't think it's just people I know.

1:47.3

And as we think about building lives, designing lives, having lives, reframing our lives so that

1:56.9

they feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside, which is what we are doing

2:01.5

here. One of the things that comes up all the time is not actually about what we're doing.

2:09.8

It's about the judgment or the stories that we tell ourselves about that thing is going on.

2:16.9

Because getting your to-do list done or not,

2:19.3

that's neutral. It's words on a piece of paper. Going to bed late or not. Yeah, you might feel
