I'm perimenopausal and I cannot believe how much my sleep quality has devolved over the last several years.

There's lots of reasons why this happens and I know for many of us who maybe have never had issues with sleep before it can be a

tremendous source of frustration. Number one we get changes in our circadian rhythm due to shifts

in estrogen and maybe some people in the

community don't realize that actually estrogen is responsible for helping to

coordinate our circadian clock so as we have fluctuating levels of estrogen in the

beginning and mid part of perimenopause, latter stages, less estrogen that

circulating that can exacerbate insomnia issues.
