Summary

Do you spend more time thinking about your binge eating and why you do it or more time trying to stop your binge eating? Both are important. But, what's also important is giving both equal time. If you're spending too much time on one and not the other you're missing something that you'll need to help you to stop binge eating.

In this episode, I'm explaining why it's important to find a balance between thinking about the problem and thinking about a solution for the problem. Listen in to find out why so you can make more progress and finally stop the binge eating.

Hello, let's talk about being problem focused and solution focused. When we have a problem, we can be problem focused or solution focused.

0:40.7

What this means is that we're either analyzing the problem that we're facing, we're looking at what's

even if it's only you hearing it. There is for sure a time in place for venting and it can feel good

1:43.5

to vent and it can feel good to just release your

1:46.9

thoughts out of your brain either onto paper or verbally. And two, being problem focused can help you

1:54.8

to understand why you feel how you feel, understand what you're thinking, what your opinion is

2:00.2

as it relates to this problem, what your opinion is as it relates to this problem,

2:01.7

what your perspective is, and understand why the problem exists. When you're focusing on the
