| 0:30.9 | And it really is nice to have these two back to back, because this is a very significant warning from the Lord. |
| 0:36.8 | And big picture, I think we need to stand |
| 0:39.0 | back and hear the warning. And that is, section 49 is a warning against false doctrine, |
| 0:46.5 | and section 50 is a warning against false revelation. We can believe a truth that is false. And if we believe it and act on it, we may |
| 0:58.5 | treat people inappropriately or we may offend God. So we need to make sure that we don't believe |
| 1:04.3 | a falsehood. Now, what's interesting about Section 49 is kind of the context. Sometimes we think of |
| 1:09.3 | false doctrine as deliberate lies sent out by |
| 1:13.9 | enemies of righteousness trying to destroy us. But Section 49's background is really good |
| 1:21.8 | intending people. Religious, loving people who on their own study came to some wrong conclusions. |
| 1:31.8 | And the Lord steps forward and corrects those wrong conclusions. |
| 1:36.4 | And I think one of the messages we need to hear is, even with good intent, |
| 1:41.6 | we might believe and teach a false doctrine. So major message is beware of false doctrines |
| 1:51.0 | and beware of false revelations. We can be deceived by false messages. All around us, there are |
| 1:56.8 | people who are receiving messages and they are convinced they are coming from a divine source |
