He won the Pulitzer Prize in 2011 for his commentary on economic issues.

David came by the Institute of Politics recently and we sat down to talk about the arc of

his career and the state of our country and American journalism.

And I learned some things about you during that colloquy you had last night.

And one of them was about your grandfather.

And I had not heard that story before.
