Welcome to the first episode of 2023, because of course I've been on my annual break for a few weeks.

This is a decision that has been lingered around for a little while but it really crystallized for me over the last few weeks and it's not a decision just about the

podcast so this is the next thing that's going to cause some of you to be shook.

After almost 18 years, I have decided that it is time for me to also stop running baggage reclaim to stop writing it.

And that is a huge decision.

It has been a part of my life since I was 28,

and I'm now 45. So much has happened in that time and I love baggage reclaim and I love the

podcast in fact I want to emphasize that because I think often when people say that they have decided to stop doing something that people assume that well there must be something wrong with it and they must hate it.

And of course that is the case sometimes for some people but that's not it for me.

I've realized that it is it is time for me to show up in a different way. It is time for me to move on to something else and it has been a hard decision and it is one that I think has been calling at me for quite some time

actually but at the same time as it been hard like this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to say,

So I want to talk a bit about this decision, not as a justification, but because I'm giving you an insight into my world and how I've arrived at this decision because I know that even if it's not about something to do with work, something to do with your creative life,
