What Young was really after in his therapy, like I was saying was connecting us with our inner, the higher self, just he calls it just the self, that's the God within, and he calls it that's the ego self-axis.

That in other words, to have an intimate relationship as a conscious ego in a way with the unconscious,

with this figure in us that embodies wisdom.

And I think about how I write my books.

Like I'm not the author of my books.

Yeah, my name is on the cover, but you know, I write in the morning and I'll get up and I'll be brushing my teeth,

getting ready for writing, and all of a sudden I'll be getting downloads you know and I

recognize I've learned to differentiate oh that's not sort of the monkey mind the

neurotic mind that's like a hamster cage but no I'm getting downloads and now all of a sudden I'm in the role of the employee.

I just, I'm getting like a dictate, dictation from the higher self and I'm just all of a sudden

in service to try to, and that's what informs my informs my writing you know it's not really my

conscious ego at all it's like something comes through and I'm just the

instrument.
