The street of our moves remains closed, and the price tag for the war we never knew we wanted

is sending inflation soaring.

LinkedIn laid off close to a thousand workers, because I guess they're not bullish on the whole

people having jobs thing.

Americans need a win, and our leaders need to buy time while they figure out where to dump our bodies.

And so, like a man crawling back to his wife after his mistress sets his car on fire, President Trump went to China this week.

He brought the CEOs of Black Rock, Navidia, and many other vultures, hoping to make some deals,

and to convince China to leverage their lack of fear of non-existent Iranian nukes to help end the war on favorable terms.

And the summit went so well at the Dow plummeted 500 points.

All of this is enough to give you pause and wonder if we're going to be okay.

But Americans are resilient.

It takes a lot to keep us down.

The young people of today are making up for a lack of hope or opportunity with grit and determination and a bit of moxie. IRL streamers are roaming the streets with modems in their backpacks, chips on their

shoulders, and guns in their hands. These angry young men are the spiritual successors of

Pat Sejack and Ryan Seacrest,

and the streets are their wheel of fortune.

The price is not right, but we still have to pay.
