Orenstein and we're going to talk about raising good men. You may recognize

Peggy from her taboo-shattering New York Times best Girls and Sex, where she really shed light on the reality of what's going on with girls.

Today's discussion is so important and it's the beginning of a long conversation we're going to continue

to have.

I think this has been a conversation with parents that I work with, with friends of mine, mothers of sons, that that's

the big question mark. How the hell are we raising good men right now?

I know. I know. I know. There you took it on. I had the same thing

that when I started going around with girls and sex so many mothers particularly

would say to me,

would you please write a book about boys,

you know, and that's a really big shift,

just that people even want that is a huge shift and really exciting.

And then me too came along.

And I think that revealing sexual misconduct

across every sector of society, you know, that was just an earthquake.

And it really shook, I think, parents of boys. But to me, you know, that obviously we need to reduce sexual violence that's just you

know the clear but it also I think provided this opportunity to start talking to boys and bring them into the conversation
