rather than the child you thought you were going to have

or that you thought you might want to have.

want to hear about your experience, which you so beautifully captured in your book and so that's kind of

what we're here to talk about today. That sounds wonderful. So I found a connection with so much of what you talked about,

but the first thing that I noticed is this incredible training that you had

and fluency in your poetry

because that was your career and your academic interest

and how life experiences completely change the lens through which you saw

words worth poetry and also you know everything around that from your expectations.

Yeah, your parenting and all of those things and for me because I learned a lot about developmental psychology and everything in my field before,

I didn't learn everything, but I was trained.
