Summary

The number one reason people don't reach their goals is because they give up.

I want to shift the focus around how you are thinking about your progress to avoid you giving up.

When you dig a little deeper the goal is never really to look a certain way or weigh a certain amount.. it is to FEEL how you think you will feel in that body.

Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast.

Yesterday I had a really great idea.

At least I think it's a really great idea that I'm going to share with you.

I have been thinking about this a lot and the number one reason that people don't meet their goals

or get to where they want to be with their

physique. Generally, it was everything in life, but let's just narrow this down slightly.

Is that they give up before they get there. Now that's going to sound really, really obvious,

but that is really the only reason people don't get results. All of the clients that we work with

know what to do because they're working with us. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it's

easy to action that. And honestly, the difference between people who do get results and people who

don't get results

is as simple as giving up too quickly.

But again, not giving up isn't a particularly easy thing to do.

And that is why success in hard pursuits like achieving the physique that you want is rare because most people commit for long enough

to get to where they want to be. And I get that, like we all want tangible progress, but most

things require or most hard things that you actually want to achieve, in this

example, an impressive physique, require compounding, i.e., it's the continued effort day after

day that gets results. And rationally, we know that, I don't know, eating really healthy for one week after a year of eating crap

isn't going to reverse the fact that we've put on from a year of eating crap and not exercising.

But yet, we are still disheartened when that doesn't happen.

However, if we can focus on how you feel, as opposed to simply how you look,

then we can see almost immediate returns for our efforts. And that's what I want this next week to be
