I'm J.J. Stankovich, joined down here in Bourbonnet by John Moon, Mullen.

And, Moon, we got one more practice down here in Burbine in before Family Fest on Saturday.

Today was the first day where there was live tackling.

And that revealed a couple things.

I think my first observation is, holy hell, did Bilal Nichols and Roy Robertson Harris have a good day?

Bilal Nichols almost dropped Mike Davis for his safety on a running play in a drill where they're

backed up against their own end zone.

Then in the next play, Roy Robertson Harris goes and drops Mike Davis for a safety.

So a pretty good day for those two guys.

But what else stood out to you today, Moon?

Well, that's part of the overall, JJ.

I think if we're going to turn something a little bit around, I think the defense just keeps looking more and more dominant.

And again, the defense will always be ahead of the offense,

usually early in camps, unless it's New England with Brady or that type of thing.

But there were so many physical wins for the defense.

And that was a little, I won't say surprising.

I mean, there was an occasional like the Ryan Nalls, no, David Montgomery.

Yes.

15-yard run that was right out of his highlight.

I'm like, whoa.

And it was against, you know, a lot of varsity, the A-List guys, with his own offensive
