The people who you surround yourself with influence you.

Studies have shown if people around you lose weight, quit smoking, or start doing drugs you are more likely to do so, too.

Don't let yourself be the big fish in the small pound.

This is going to be, I don't want to say this, not be short and sharp, but it's meant to be a short, sharp episode that is going to get you thinking about the people that you surround yourself with, the social media that you take in,

I am sure that we have all heard the quote,

we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. And obviously this

isn't meant to be taken literally. Like you can't just start following around successful people in

the background like a little creep and hope to suddenly become successful off the back of that.

But I would say actually though, even as I'm saying that, you probably would pick up quite a lot.

Like, to an extent, I feel like maybe because of the sheer effort you've put in to following them around,

you would get little nuggets of information.

You definitely get a lot from seeing what they do and how they do it.

But the point of this quote is more so how you interact with them

and more so how people rub off on you.

And in my opinion, the quickest way to upgrade yourself is to surround yourself with people doing better

than you are. And the people we spend the most time with have a powerful impact on how we view

the world or what we think is possible. And this has been shown in research,

so studies have shown that if people around you lose weight,

you're more likely to lose weight.

If they quit smoking, you're more likely

to be successful quitting smoking as well.

Or on the flip side, if all your friends start doing drugs,
