| 1:02.3 | experience implicit and explicit biases. We also hear or see negative and mean comments |
| 1:08.7 | about bigger bodies. It's difficult to see that happen. And I can't even |
| 1:13.8 | imagine what it's like to experience it firsthand. Even when I was at my heaviest, I don't remember |
| 1:20.7 | hearing any negative comments or getting negative treatment because of my weight. And just to be |
| 1:26.8 | clear, my highest weight was considered overweight by BMI |
| 1:30.6 | standards, which I know is a poor measuring tool. But I say that just so you can get an idea of what |
| 1:35.7 | my body looked like. I was overweight by about 12 pounds, which was just below the midpoint of what is |
| 1:43.6 | considered overweight. |
| 1:46.0 | So I will admit that I am privileged to not have firsthand experience with that kind of bias |
| 1:53.2 | or negativity or even hate. |
