All right, crude conversations episode 20.

We made it.

In this episode, we talked to Alaskan author

Jared Mayer.

We talked about comics and their function as a mode of storytelling.

We also talk about his relationship with his stepdad, Terry

Stallman, who owned the Show Boat Strip Club here in Anchorage. This was actually one of the first episodes

Dustin and I recorded as co-hosts. We were both pretty green

when it came to working together as hosts, but after listening to it, after

going back through it, I realized how good it turned out.

I mean, this was recorded last summer.

So here we are, I mean not quite a year ago, but pretty close. We recorded it in my extra bedroom at my house with a USB mic that was just hooked to my computer.

And at that point, we had no idea about audio.

I mean, like to the point where it's gotten right now you know here

at episode 20 you know where where we have learned so much and we've grown as interviewers as hosts and as co-host. We've come so far from this

podcast, but also the reason that it has taken us so long to put it out is because we needed to learn how to use the program better audition the program that we use to edit our podcast or to be able to, you know, put this out there into the world and make it sound good, you know, make it sound good, you know, make it sound like we're right in your freaking ears.

So in every episode we give a shout out to our company men.
