I turned 43 on the 28th of July which is just a couple of days ago at the

time of this recording before I get into today's episode, a quick heads up.

It's that time of year where I am going to go on a break for a bit.

So yeah, it's time for the all summer rest, summer reset. I'm going to chill out for a bit. I'm going to potter around. I'm going to catch upon a few other bits.

I'm going to spend a lot of time outdoors I'm sure because well a massive amount of

places to go and by gosh we have looked at trying to go away here in England and

it is so difficult to book somewhere. I guess everybody's had the same post lockdown fever but you know what it's all good. So anyway, yes, I will be on break until the 11th of September, which will give me time to reset,

but also to see my youngest off to secondary school.

I cannot believe that I will have two children at secondary school. I cannot believe that I will have two children at

secondary school. That is of course assuming that nothing dramatic happens

between now and then and that she is actually able to go into school on that date. Any way. Enough about all of that. What do I want to talk about today? Well, everything that I talk about in terms of helping us

to break our patterns of unhealthy thinking and behavior to break the cycle

you know of any emotional baggage that has been holding us back is about actually

addressing areas of our life things that we do that basically amount to

self-sabotage.

And what I want to speak about specifically today are why overgiving, over responsibility, people please

imperfectionism and overthinking are all forms of self-sabbatage. Now you might hear some of those and be like, wait, like

overgiving or why is pleasing or why is perfectionism and I think it's so important to talk about

this because self-sabbatage is when we consciously and unconsciously do things or don't do things that get in the way of us not just
