I'm speaking from the town of Ashington, Northumberland, which is famous for the most recent late Jack Charlton.

So, I've got an actual town.

And I've just found out his funeral and drive around the towns on Tuesday.

So it's going to be a massive turnout because he was there such a big warm figure in our community

and he would always give you the time of day if you ever saw him out and about yeah i never worked

sorry i've worked in football for years and i never met Jack Charlton. The one thing that I

heard about him, which was so good though, and why he got so much out of that Irish team,

is apparently he, I was coming to which player told me this once, that he said, he started

treating them like men and he said, there's no curfew, but you're in the World Cup.

And you're never going to get this chance again. So what's the point in going out and getting

drunk when you can actually just play football? Also, you're putting yourself on the shop shelves.

And so the shop window so people can see you. And I can't remember who told me now, just said it was the best thing ever.

They then went, well, we're here.

And he just got such a team spirit and that Irish team, definitely.
