On the podcast today, we're going to be answering the question, can mirroring other humans

improve your life? To tell us all about this is Fiona Murden, who's written a book called mirror

thinking. Hello Fiona. Hi, Tim. It's good to be here. Thank you for having me on.

Before we get involved in the question, I suppose what we have to do really is find out a little bit

about you. So what is your day job before you wrote this book? Well, it's funny because

Fran's child was around the other day and he said to me,

you know, you're an author?

And I said, yes.

He said, how many other jobs have you got?

And I found that really hard to answer because I don't have one job.

I don't go to an office and do one job.

What I do is profile senior leaders. So if, for example,

a CEO is being appointed to a role, the very last stage, I'll go through their life with them

for four hours, so an in-depth interview, and work out what their drivers are, what's likely

to cause problems, what the obstacles are, how they can

improve their performance, how they're going to fit with the company team, the strategy,

the values, all that sort of stuff. So that's one thing. I do executive coaching, and that spans

across all sorts of different disciplines. So leadership, surgeons, academics, sports people, all sorts of people.
