Over the past few months you may or may not have noticed, I've been kind of doing a little

informal series of episodes, kind of slid in here and there, where we look at different

sub-populations and we bring different voices into the conversation.

How does gender impact mental health anxiety recovery?

How does ethnicity, different ethnic backgrounds and cultural backgrounds?

How does that impact anxiety and anxiety recovery?

And today I have with me my friend Tori Shavira, Tori is the Tori Shavira on Instagram,

not to be confused with any other Tori Shavira clearly, and Tori is such a really great

positive, strong voice advocating for mental health in the OCD community and also a really

strong positive advocate in the LGBTQ plus community.

So she brings that unique perspective and I wanted to have that perspective represented

because everybody deserves a voice and if I can, you know, provide a place for that

voice to be heard, then so much better.

So Tori joined me today.

We talked about LGBTQ plus issues in terms of anxiety, mental health and the recovery process

and the nuances there, that kind of, you know, that she faces and people in that community

face.
