You know, when we talk about discipleship, our modern day age says, oh, yeah, hey, I'll

disciple.

You read this book, come here, you think, and I'll fill you in where you're wrong.

You know, fill out this form.

True discipleship.

If we go back to the first century, really was a hanging out with somebody who was wiser

typically older than you, and you lived life with them.

You know, you go to the store with them, you go to a funeral with them, you're going

to a wedding, you're able to have meals with them continually.

They're having tea together, they're breaking bread together.

That is true discipleship, and at the same time, they are learning and they're growing

in the rising up, in the sitting down.

But true discipleship is more than just going through a book and then checking in with

the person.

True discipleship in first century logic here is being with somebody on a continual basis

on a daily basis, living life together.
