So it seems important to talk about reconciliation, at least it seemed that way to me, as I was

getting ready for this evening, because there's a lot of conflict out there.

When conflict is natural, it's not even that it's a bad thing.

I remember working one day a week in a preschool, and a lot of what the work in the preschool

was, there were all kinds of great things of creativity of children, but some part of it

was also reconciliation, because the kids would get in conflict.

You had it too long, now it's my turn.

You've got a bigger cookie than I did, so it starts early, and it's because we have

different needs and ideas and visions, and then when they would really get upset and

hit each other with blocks or bite one another, whatever, then you get down on your knees

or I would, and you'd look at them and say, how are you feeling angry, frustrated, what's

going on for you, what hurts, or what's upset you.

Then you'd say, you can use your words, you know, use your words.

I think maybe we should go to the capital of the U.S. and some of the other great political

centers in the world with big signs that say, use your words, rest, and all the other

ways that people are trying to solve conflict.
