| 0:00.0 | Hello, friends and welcome back to the Bikes for Death podcast. |
| 0:03.0 | As always, my name is Patrick and I am your host. |
| 0:06.0 | And on today's episode, Alish Zavaral is joining me all the way from the Czech Republic. |
| 0:14.0 | He just won the third edition of the bike nonstop US race that just took place last month. He finished in 18 days, |
| 0:25.0 | 11 hours, and 50 minutes. This year there were 12 participants, 9 of them were men, and 3 of them |
| 0:32.0 | were women. And I have to be honest, bike nonstop U.S. is a race in America that I had never even heard of |
| 0:41.1 | until Amanda tagged me on Instagram and told me I should interview Alish. |
| 0:47.5 | And I wanted to interview Alish. |
| 0:49.1 | And I also wanted to find out about bike nonstop U.S. |
| 0:53.1 | So it turns out that this race is done by the same race organizers that do the |
| 0:59.5 | Transamerica race. |

| 1:04.0 | And this route is very similar in that it traverses the United States from west to east. However, it maximizes the use |
| 1:16.3 | of rails to trails, gravel roads, B roads, and avoids major highways and major roads at all |
| 1:25.2 | costs. Essentially, this is billed as a safer trans America bike race. |
| 1:32.7 | And honestly, after this interview and talking to Alice, |
| 1:36.1 | I became very interested in doing this ride myself one day. |
| 1:40.1 | It sounds absolutely amazing. |
| 1:42.6 | And I appreciate Alice coming on the podcast to tell us all about it and his race this year. |
| 1:50.3 | But before I get to today's episode, let us take a moment to thank the people that made it possible, starting with our latest patrons. |
| 1:58.7 | So this week, we would like to thank Thomas Sobretsky and Michael Young. |
| 2:04.1 | Thank you all so much for becoming sustaining members of the podcast. |
