Chuck Garfine here with Ryan McGuffey and a guy who has so much time on his hands because there's nothing going on in his life right now.

It's the White Sox scouting director, Nick Hostetler. I'm bored. I'm bored. I'll admit it. Nothing else going on. Just chilling. Well, we pulled you out of a meeting. Yeah. So a lot of meetings these days? A lot of meetings. A lot of staring at video. A lot of staring at reports. Listening to a lot of people talk. Yeah, it's exciting stuff. Well, I mean, you're being sarcastic. It is exciting. There's a lot going on. Is your head about to explode? It is. Yeah. At this point right now, the process of it is, I mean, there's so many different pieces to it that you're trying to actually at night trying to dial it down a little bit just so

you can sleep and it just doesn't happen like your mind is still in the meeting still at the ballpark

um it's crazy last night i'm still laying there in bed watching the rockets and um warriors game and

i'm sitting there what else can i think about other than baseball and nothing like i'd open the

computer and started

looking at video again. So it just, your mind never turns off of it. But yeah, we're in the

middle, right in the smack dab in the middle of these meetings. And they are, they can get

intense sometimes. Guys will get upset. You know, you don't feel the same way as they do on a player.

But it is, yeah, at this point right now, like we're, we'll reach a point about probably Thursday where we get sick and tired of each other.

And we need a break, so I might give a guys a couple hours just to go do your thing.

At what point, you talk about watching video to, you know, to your blue in the face, but there is a part, or a spot or a time when

enough's enough, right? Like you can get too much or too, I don't know if too involved is,

right, because you're already so involved, but at some point it's just got to be like,

okay, I got to turn this off. It is. No, it is. And you can start nitpicking players.

I mean, I'm at a point now where I think I've watched so much video on the guys for pick four that I'm starting to pick them apart. And it's like, you realize it. And it comes with experience. The more you do this job, the more you realize, like there is a certain point where you've got to draw the line and start listening just to other people. Because you can, you can create your own opinion and it be so strong at that

point because you've watched so much video, you've seen them so much in person, you've read all the
