With the big news, Wellington Castillo suspended 80 games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.

A shock, to say the least, it completely blindsided the White Sox who were already short-handed at catcher with injuries in their minor league system.

And now you have Wellington Castillo out for three months.

Your initial reaction, Vinnie.

Yeah, well, I mean, Wellington Castile is a good player. You don't want to take as bad out of the lineup,

but more important to this team like everything is, is the long-term picture.

And Wellington Cassio was brought in this offseason, in part, almost exclusively,

to help develop pitchers like Lucas Gialito and Reinaldo Lopez. And now you're not with them for three months. Now you have to resort to the backup guys. And that's going to affect those guys' development somehow. Is Gialito Lopez better, worse, or the same? We don't know. Time will tell on that point, but it is going to be different

without that veteran catcher behind the plate. So coming up on the podcast, you're going to hear from
