Oh, it is complicated.

We are very fortunate and I readily acknowledge that where being a tenured professor gives a certain amount of financial security and my wife is an at-home mom so she's able to really devote full-time effort to the kids.

And that, of course, is itself a mixed bag.

She often feels like she's not very successful
